Office Rules | Armenia Branch

This set of rules is created by Tripathon team and management to ensure best standards of security and safety and foster the spirit of community, cooperativity and to understand how to respect your colleagues’ time, energy and space.

Rules were written after years of living and working at the office with different team members, hence, they’re subject to change and to be improved by time.

Common areas

  • These etiquette rules apply to areas you might share with other employees, like kitchens and break rooms:
  • Only consume the food you brought. Bring your own meals and snacks and label them clearly.
  • Clean up after yourself. Throw away trash, clean dishes and wipe down any tables or counters that you use during breaks.
  • Replenish items you take from common areas if necessary.
  • Silence your notifications. When you work in a shared space, turn off notifications on your phone, email and messaging services to minimize noise.
  • Limit distractions for other team members. Ask employees around you before playing music or taking calls in a common work area. Keep calls brief, and if you need to take longer calls, use a conference room or private room.

General Rules

  • In Case any of your assets (laptop, charger, phone.. etc.) is broken or not functioning correctly for any reason, report immediately to management to be advised what to do, do not try to fix it or to take it to any sort of repair shop yourself
  • In case of your device’s software (windows, MacOS, outlook .etc.) stopped working or you faced an issue, report immediately to IT manager first and management second in case of lack or absence of the former
  • Any issue, accident, or something odd noticed or occurred at office space (kitchen, garden, entrance.. etc.) must be reported immediately to management or office manager (including broken assets, electricity issues, heating/cooling system issues, Network issues, stranger entered the office, security related issues, etc.)
  • No alcoholic drinks or use of any drug substance during and outside of work hours in the office
  • In case you need anything related to kitchen, equipment, hygiene or have any suggestions you can refer to management
  • Keep work matters off your social media accounts

  • Eliminate gossip. Avoid taking part in gossip in the workplace. Remove yourself from conversations that become unprofessional.

Security related

  • In case you received an suspicious email, don’t open any link and refer to IT manager
  • Office keys are provided by management, in case of loosing them, you should immediately advise management or office manager
  • Office visits outside of working hours are forbidden, in case of any urgency (forgot something, need to take something ..etc.) contact office manager or management to advise that you need to visit the office.
  • Cameras are for entries only and for security reasons only (not surveillance)

Safety Rules

  • Heaters must be plugged straight to wall, not through extension cords or electric adaptors
  • Last person to leave the room must turn off all the heating/cooling systems and lights
  • All Lights must be turned off if you are the last one to leave office (not only your room’s lights)
  • Turn Off all Heating / Cooling System before you leave (if you are the last to leave)
  • Plant lights must be kept turned on unless advised otherwise
  • In case of minor medical accidents or needs, you can use the medical box : it includes first aid and pain killers

Hygiene related

  • No Eating / Snacking in work rooms, only in designated areas (Kitchen, Lunch room, Meeting area, Garden “in spring/summer season”)
  • Empty and dirty dishes and cups must be turned to the kitchen’s sink
  • Throwing toilet paper or hand tissues in the toilet is forbidden
  • No Smoking indoors (including Vaping or any sort of smoking)
  • All food and drinks kept in fridge must be removed within 48 hours
  • Keep your food containers clean or in closed bags to prevent any unwanted smells
  • Any drinks/beverages with strong smell are not allowed within work rooms
  • Toilets must be kept clean all time, in case of lack of paper tissues or toilet tissues or liquid soaps please check the designated storage area or refer to office manager
  • The towels in the kitchen are for dishes only and to be used by cleaning responsible personnel only. Hands, dishes and wet surfaces must be dried and wiped by paper towels only.
  • Limit strong-smelling scents. Avoid powerful scents in colognes, perfumes and lotions

  • Keep your workstation clean and organized. Maintain a clean work area by regularly sanitizing your desk and computer. Remove clutter and trash and keep your shelves and desk organized.

  • Stay home when you’re sick. To keep your workplace healthy and avoid spreading germs, stay home if you don’t feel well.
